About the Job
As an Engineering Manager for Software at Unifonic, you will be responsible for defining, leading, and delivering products on time and within budget. You will oversee the entire life cycle of projects/products, communicate closely with key stakeholders, support Unifonic’s product portfolio, and continuously improve processes and methodologies related to product, project, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own technical product requirements, specifications, and roadmaps based on user and business needs in collaboration with product, marketing, operations, and sales teams.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and deliver work alongside Product Managers, Designers, Marketers, and Executive Managers while evaluating progress and making necessary adjustments to resources.
  • Maintain and operate stakeholders' services, employing Agile methodologies to continuously deliver value to customers.
  • Track performance of releases through metrics and ensure products are launched and run successfully.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement through retrospection and foster engineering practices focused on customer satisfaction using a data-driven approach.
  • Serve as the technical owner of the company’s products, managing communications with stakeholders and breaking down roadblocks.

Job Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with 10+ years in engineering and at least 4 years in technical management, especially in shipping large-scale projects with multiple dependencies.
  • Solid experience as a Java or Python Developer, with knowledge of databases (MySQL, Cassandra), distributed caching (Redis, Memcache), and queueing solutions (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Exceptional coding abilities with experience in architectural patterns of large, high-scale distributed applications.
  • Strong integration skills, configuration management, and experience with servers (Windows and Linux, AWS, OpenStack).
  • Excellent analytical skills to translate customer requirements into functional requirements, and ability to adapt to changing needs in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English with strong writing and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Software, or a related discipline or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) are a plus.
