We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer with a strong focus on network security to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining our on-premises and cloud-based network infrastructure, including VCN, VPC, and firewall management, to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our network and security services across all environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and implement secure network solutions, including LAN, WAN, VPN, VCN, and VPC architectures.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime, availability, and security.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce security policies and best practices across on-premises and cloud networks.
- Manage and secure cloud network firewalls and security groups to protect critical cloud resources.
- Implement and manage network security tools such as IDS, IPS, and NGFW.
- Conduct regular network security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
- Develop and maintain secure network documentation, including network diagrams and incident response procedures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, network security technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on network security and cloud networking.
- Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and network security principles.
- Experience with firewall and VPN technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Knowledge of network security technologies, including IDS/IPS, NGFW, and VPN encryption.
- Experience with VCN/VPC design and management in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty) are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
