Assistant - Accounts Payable and General Ledger (Healthcare)

About the Role
The position involves critical accounting responsibilities that contribute to the smooth financial operations of the hospital. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of supplier invoices, expense claims, and associated documents in the hospital’s accounting system. This role will also require active engagement with supplier reconciliations, preparation of payments, and following up on any missing approvals or documentation.

Responsibilities

• Check and enter supplier invoices, expense claims, and supporting documents into the hospital’s accounting system.
• Assist with supplier reconciliations, payment preparation, and follow-up on missing approvals or documentation.
• Support journal entries, accrual schedules, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized financial records and coordinate with hospital departments to resolve routine accounting queries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, with relevant experience in the hospital or healthcare sector.
• ACCA studies, an accounting technician qualification, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping, invoice processing, Excel, and accounting software, with strong attention to detail.
