- Assisting the Line Manager in maintaining and reviewing operational programs related to Aviation Safety and Investigation, ensuring alignment with SMS requirements and aviation safety standards.
- Liaising with Aerodrome Departments and Airport Stakeholders to address aviation safety requirements and ensure coordinated efforts across all relevant teams.
- Reviewing and verifying that aviation safety procedures comply with QCAR regulations, ensuring all procedures meet regulatory standards for safe airport operations.
- Contributing to developing and managing the Hazard Log and Risk Register, supporting documentation requirements, and tracking potential hazards in compliance with State Regulator standards.
- Defining and documenting Threat/Hazard Identification and Risk Management processes in alignment with the Safety Management System manual to establish clear guidelines for hazard handling.
- Preparing risk assessments and safety cases and assisting in aeronautical studies to support the handling of non-compliance situations, ensuring all safety documentation aligns with operational requirements.
- Coordinating and supporting aerodrome oversight inspections conducted by the Aerodrome Standards Directorate, ensuring operational readiness and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Participating in safety training and safety promotion activities to strengthen safety awareness and maintain a high standard of operational safety within the workforce.
- Assisting in aerodrome certificate processes by ensuring compliance requirements are efficiently met and all documentation is up to date.
- Reviewing and analyzing voluntary safety reports and implementing appropriate follow-up actions to address findings and maintain a proactive safety approach.
- Conducting Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) initiatives in consultation with the Ground Safety Manager following safety oversight and audits to address identified issues and ensure continuous improvement in safety standards.
- Liaising with department heads and senior airport stakeholders on Aerodrome Safety Assurance, Training, and Airside Driving Licensing activities to uphold safety practices.
- Promoting a positive safety culture by supporting safety objectives through technical knowledge, continuous training, and clear communication within the organization.
- Preparing and recommending operating and capital budgets for department review, aligning resources with operational safety goals.
- Performing other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About you:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience
- Safety Management Systems (SMS) Training completion from ICAO or ACI
- ICAO Annex 14 Training completion course
- Apron Management Training completion course from ICAO or ACI
- Project Management Training from a recognized institution
- Technical Writing Proficiency experience in preparing and developing documents, manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures
- Aeronautical Radio Communication Certification: Certified proficiency in aeronautical radio communication preferred
- Statistical Analysis in Aviation: Accredited training in statistical analysis relevant to aviation safety
- Experience in Airside Operations: Previous work experience within airside operations environments
- Strong command of the English Language – both written and verbal
- Advanced Project Management Training: Advanced training or certification in Project Management
- Policy Translation Skills – ability to convert complex aviation safety policies into clear, concise procedures and actionable feedback.

- Comprehensive Knowledge of International Aviation Regulations: In-depth understanding of international civil aviation regulations, including ICAO Annexes, ICAO documentation, and QCAR requirements

- Attention to Detail and Analytical Skills: Skilled in analyzing audit reports, able to identify issues and provide actionable feedback
- Aerodrome Certification and Renewal Procedures: Strong knowledge of aerodrome certification and certificate renewal processes
- Airfield Auditing Competence: Ability to perform thorough airfield audits to verify compliance with safety standards
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications: Skilled in using MS Office for documentation, reporting, and communication
- Presentation Skills: Effective in delivering presentations, training sessions, and briefings
Preferred:
- Skilled in using CDMS (AeroDocs) and other software/hardware relevant to safety documentation and reporting
