About the Role:
In this position, the CTA Communications Technician will oversee the repair and maintenance of Patriot-specific communications equipment, such as FSAMG/LCS and communications towers. The role supports Fire Units and Battalions, providing technical assistance and training to Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) personnel, as well as coordinating maintenance and repairs. This position is located in Manama, Bahrain.

What You Will Do:
- Responsible for organizational repair/maintenance of Patriot-specific communications equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and sustainment/refresher training to BDF personnel.
- Demonstrate methods for testing, maintenance, repair, configuration, and operation of all Patriot-specific communications and related equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs, contributing expertise in communications planning for fixed and tactical deployments.
- Build and mount UHF/VHF communication equipment adhering to safety and industrial standards, including certification as a Communications Tower Worker.
- Familiarization with IP Switching and Routing is required.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, and maintenance of PATRIOT-specific radios and military tactical radio communications systems.
- Proficiency with commercial test equipment and tools for troubleshooting electronic circuits.
- Strong knowledge of basic and advanced electronics, RF theory, and IP routing standards.
- Graduate of relevant logistics support or maintenance courses, or possess equivalent experience.
- Ability to certify as a Communications Tower Worker; must be able to climb up to 350 feet.
- Proficiency in configuring and restoring TCP/IP Layer 2 and 3 devices using Command Line Interface (CLI).
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in troubleshooting MIDS terminals, JTIDS, and Link-16 operations.
- Familiarity with FM and AM variants, and experience with Link-16 operations.
- Knowledge of Patriot SPIN software and CISCO Command Line Interface (CLI).
- Experience with Software Defined Radios (SDR) or computer-to-radio communications.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux (e.g., RHEL 8/9) and Windows.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field along with 8-12 years of related experience.

Additional Information:
- Onsite role: Employees are required to work primarily on-site.
- Salary range: $118,300 - $224,900 based on experience.
- Applicants may be eligible for various benefits, such as medical, dental, life insurance, and paid time off, with specifics depending on the business unit and collective bargaining agreements.
- This role is U.S.-based; proper pay structure and benefits will be applied for applicants residing in U.S. territories.
