Consumer Billing & Payment Specialist

About the Role
This role is essential for overseeing end-to-end Consumer Mobile Billing and Payment operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with various cross-functional teams to streamline operational processes, drive solutions to issues, and ensure timely delivery of post-paid bills to customers. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise in telecommunications billing systems.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership

• Develop, monitor, coordinate, and manage end-to-end Consumer Mobile Billing and Payment operations functions.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Commercial Operations, Customer Experience, Audit, Product & Marketing, Revenue Assurance, and Testing, to identify issues, opportunities, and technical enhancements that improve efficiency in billing cycle operations.
• Evaluate, log, and drive solutions to reported problems based on business impacts.
• Conduct pre- and post-production testing and ensure successful implementation of applied changes.
• Ensure on-time dispatch of post-paid bills to customers within defined and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Perform related tasks consistent with skills and abilities as assigned by the Line Manager.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in telecommunications or IT services, with strong technical knowledge in telecommunications billing.
• Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL Oracle and experience managing outsourced partners, complemented by strong people management skills.
• Expertise in telecommunications billing and charging systems, rating systems, and advanced Microsoft tools.
• Knowledge of programming languages is an added advantage.
