ESG Consultant

The Consultant will be part of the team delivering complex and fast-paced projects to leading organisations in the Middle East with a focus on ESG, Sustainability, and Climate Change. The role will be highly varied and will involve activities ranging from supporting business development and thought leadership activities to project execution.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and growth of our practice and contribute to the delivery of our Sustainability, Climate, and ESG related services.
• Support the client in the development of ESG roadmaps and strategies on a variety of ESG related topics.
• Knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards including GRI, SDGs, TCFD, IFRS, and other relevant frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement ESG strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with sustainability objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive ESG research and analysis, evaluating a company’s performance against industry-specific criteria and standards.
• Stay updated on evolving ESG regulations, industry best practices, and emerging sustainability trends, incorporating them into organisational strategies.
• Support the team with the development of client proposals for carbon and climate-related services.
• Prepare thought leadership materials in collaboration with other team members and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Sustainability/Environment-related disciplines or Engineering, Science, or similar.
• Master’s degree in the above fields is an advantage.
• Total Experience - 1-3 years.
• Technical skillset - ESG and Sustainability related knowledge and understanding. Ideally in ESG Strategy, Net Zero, SDGs, big CCAS - climate change and sustainability services, and Reporting Frameworks.
• Preferred Certifications: GRI, ISO 14064, GARP SCR, FSA ISSB.
• Industry focus - Real Estate, Consumer Goods, Infrastructure, Energy, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, and other.
• Preferred fluency in Arabic language.
