Job Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to support the achievement of financial business performance.
- Monitor and interpret financial performance, providing regular analysis and expert guidance to General Managers and Directors with insight and recommendations to enhance business performance.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting exercise by integrating with key business stakeholders across functions.
- Ensure that strategic plans, business plans, and quarterly reviews are developed and submitted for corporate management review in a timely manner.
- Address major strategic issues impacting the long-term through efficient budgeting and forecasting mechanisms.
- Provide accurate information on key success factors of the business to management in a timely manner.
- Review current systems, recommend enhancements, and participate in the implementation of new systems.
- Conduct detailed revenue-enhancing and cost-saving analyses (e.g., pricing, profitability) based on discussions validated by the Director.
- Review capital expenditure models prepared by the team and the financial control function, managing the administrative process of seeking internal approvals.
- Manage key relationships within the business (e.g., GM, GGM) and provide ad-hoc analysis on short notice.
- Participate in evaluating new business opportunities and expansions by building initial models.
- Direct and coordinate all activities of the financial control function.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts.
Candidate Requirements
- Professionally qualified (CA, CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent).
- 4-8 years of post-qualification professional experience within finance, with at least 1 year as a Finance Manager in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting concepts coupled with excellent financial analytical capability.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills with the gravitas to interact effectively with VP level stakeholders.
- Ability to manage department delivery through staff in a timely fashion.
- Strong talent development skills with proven ability to coach and mentor diverse talent.
- Ability to influence and articulate points of view effectively.
- Exposure to ERP and business intelligence systems.
