A Little Taste of Your Day-to-Day
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Support the preparation of daily, monthly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform bank, balance sheet, general ledger, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Review and reconcile hotel revenues, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Events, Spa, and other operating departments.
- Monitor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all transactions and accruals are accurately recorded.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget-versus-actual analysis.
- Monitor departmental expenses and assist operational leaders with cost control and financial analysis.
- Ensure proper documentation and authorization of financial transactions in line with internal controls.
- Assist with inventory, payroll, purchasing, and other finance-related processes as required.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring requested documentation is accurate and readily available.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable Oman tax, VAT, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information.
- Work closely with operational departments to promote financial awareness and effective cost management.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of Finance & Business Support.
What Do We Need From You?
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Previous hotel finance experience is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, General Ledger, and month-end closing processes.
- Experience with hotel systems such as Opera and financial/accounting systems is an advantage.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Oman VAT and applicable financial regulations is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
