Responsibilities
- Lead transformation initiatives that strengthen lean practices and continuous improvement across the terminal.
- Build capability through coaching, mentoring, and development of the Lean & Business Transformation team and terminal leaders.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, global improvement initiatives, and external consultants.
- Contribute to the company Bahrain’s annual business project plan and KBSP 2030 Growth Strategy.
- Drive and coach the organization in embedding lean culture and implementing the Way of Working program.
- Coordinate local implementations of Process Standardization, Operating System, Lean Academy, and Kaizen improvement activities, alongside Training Within Industry initiatives.
- Support decision-making with timely reporting to senior leadership on progress, issues, and risks.
- Lead and develop the Lean & Business Transformation team by fostering an environment of learning and open communication.
- Facilitate policy development and support leaders in planning and implementing improvements that align with overall targets.
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration, ensuring adherence to company and health, safety, security, and environmental requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- Continuous improvement mindset: An individual with a curious attitude towards work processes and a strong motivation to make sustainable improvements.
- Leadership expectation: Someone who prioritizes customers, exemplifies respect and integrity, and drives improvement solutions through team development.
- Experience: 5–8 years in management consulting or transformation-related roles, ideally within the Middle East, plus 3–5 years in program management or continuous improvement deployment, or significant logistics and terminal operations experience.
- Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of modern terminal operations, terminal management systems, and the company's Operating System. Container terminal experience is preferred.
- Qualifications: Project Management certification is required; Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred. Familiarity with public-private partnerships is beneficial.
- Leadership and delivery: Proven experience in leading teams, managing projects, and influencing senior decision-makers.
- Communication and analytical skills: Strong change management, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
