HSE Engineer

About the Role:
We are currently seeking HSE Engineers to join our highly qualified and knowledgeable team at the Shuaiba Oil Pier Project in Kuwait. As part of a dynamic EPC leader with a global presence, the HSE Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with KNPC regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Have a strong understanding of HSE issues, practices, and behavioral aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business.
• Lead a team of HSE professionals including HSE Engineers, Senior HSE Officers, and HSE Officers.
• Possess a sound understanding of the HSE Management System and HSE legislative requirements.
• Have broad knowledge and experience in audit processes.
• Demonstrate competency in SSOW (PTW/WMS/Risk Assessment etc.).
• Develop HSE plans and emergency response procedures/plans.
• Analyze incidents and apply root cause analysis techniques.
• Be aware of H2S hazards and control measures.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with good communication skills.

Requirements:

• A four-year full-time degree in Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Bachelor of Technology Degree in Engineering (B. Tech)/Bachelor of Engineering (B.E).
• Minimum 5 years of safety work experience in Oil & Gas industries construction or a minimum of six years' experience in the field of Safety in Oil & Gas fields/Oil Refineries/Petrochemical Plants.
• International Safety Diploma/NEBOSH International Diploma and any professional qualification like CSP/CMIOSH/CRSP are highly recommended.
• Lead auditor certification in ISO 45001/ISO 14001/ISO 9001 is highly appreciated.
• Excellent proficiency in English.

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience working in GCC countries on oil and gas projects with an EPC contractor or in a heavy industrial construction company in the oil and gas sector.
