About the Role

What You'll Be Doing
- Performing and supervising surveying activities to establish control points, benchmarks, and construction layouts for infrastructure works.
- Verifying horizontal and vertical control, coordinates, levels, alignments, and dimensions for compliance with approved project requirements.
- Reviewing construction drawings and survey data to support site setting-out activities and resolve survey-related issues.
- Monitoring contractor survey operations and validating survey records, calculations, and setting-out information.
- Conducting site measurements and surveys for roads, drainage networks, utility corridors, structures, and related infrastructure works.
- Preparing and maintaining survey records, field notes, calculations, reports, and survey documentation.
- Verifying as-built surveys and ensuring the accuracy of completed works prior to project handover.
- Coordinating with Resident Engineers, Site Engineers, Inspectors, contractors, and other project stakeholders on survey-related matters.
- Assisting in the identification and resolution of survey discrepancies, alignment issues, and construction deviations.
- Supporting quantity verification and measurement activities as required.
- Ensuring appropriate maintenance, calibration, and operation of survey equipment as per project requirements.
- Complying with all HSE requirements during survey operations and field activities.
- Supporting testing, commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities through accurate survey verification and documentation.
- Maintaining accurate digital and hardcopy survey records throughout the project lifecycle.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- 10 years of experience in surveying for infrastructure and construction projects, including 7 years in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in carrying out surveying activities on roads, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, digital levels, and other modern surveying instruments.
- Strong understanding of construction surveying principles, setting-out procedures, coordinate systems, and survey calculations.
- Experience in reviewing and verifying contractor survey data, setting-out records, and as-built information.
- Ability to identify survey discrepancies and provide practical solutions to support construction activities.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and infrastructure construction methodologies.
- Good communication and coordination skills; able to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and survey-related software.
- Ability to accurately prepare survey reports, records, calculations, and documentation.
- Familiarity with HSE requirements and safe working practices in construction and surveying activities.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Experience in delivering major roads, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure projects in Qatar or the GCC region.
- Familiarity with local authority requirements, geospatial reference systems, and surveying standards.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure construction supervision projects.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS applications, or other survey and mapping software.
- Experience reviewing and validating as-built documentation for project handover.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, utility authorities, and project stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to support successful project delivery while maintaining quality, safety, and accuracy standards.
- Experience utilizing digital survey technologies and data management systems to enhance survey efficiency and project reporting.
