About the role:
As a Lead Planning Officer in the Centralized Planning Department, you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures while contributing to cost control by optimizing aircraft ground time and manpower resources. Your responsibilities will include developing short to mid-term maintenance plans that ensure cost optimization and airworthiness constraints. You will coordinate with various sections within and outside the technical department for effective implementation of these plans and participate in decision-making related to maintenance requirements within QROC for recovery after schedule disruptions.

Operational Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop a monthly maintenance plan to optimize check yield while satisfying ground slot, capacity, and facility constraints. Liaise with Schedules Planning regarding the monthly plan.
- Perform fleet tail assignment while considering all maintenance constraints once the monthly schedule has been released, and coordinate with schedules planning to resolve unassigned flights.
- Review the monthly flight schedule released by Schedules Planning to ensure required ground time for maintenance checks and operational flexibility, adjusting the maintenance plan as necessary to meet aircraft scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements.
- Ensure the airworthiness of the company fleet by planning and controlling all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks within the approved check limits and maintain these controls during flight schedule changes.
- Collaborate with the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) team to prepare plans facilitating schedule recovery in case of disruptions, new aircraft delivery delays, or to provide aircraft availability for charter flights, which may involve decisions about adjusting maintenance downtimes.
- Contribute to revenue generation potential through maintenance slot adjustments as requested by the commercial and cargo departments.
- Make necessary adjustments in hangar inputs based on weekly inputs review meetings and ensure necessary actions related to aircraft scheduling arising from those meetings.
- Prepare and present statistics of schedule changes requested to accommodate various scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements.
- Perform other departmental duties related to your position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualification
About You:
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
- General knowledge of Aircraft Systems, maintenance environment constraints.
- Knowledge of CAMO/Part 145 regulations and functions.
- Proficient in MS Excel/Word/Project.
- Project Management skills and execution abilities.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information to sections within the Technical Department.
- Proficiency in TRAX or AMOS with a good understanding of Airbus and Boeing maintenance documentation.
