The company’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is seeking a Lead Planning / Schedule Engineer for a 5-year Programme Management Contract (PMC) with a client. This contract is designed to support the client in achieving optimum capacity in its oilfields and enhancing its facilities efficiently and economically. Responsibilities include project management, coordination, planning, design, engineering, construction management, contracting, procurement, and project controls for the construction of new oil field facilities and upgrading existing ones.

Primary Objectives
- Proactively support the Project by managing the planning process and personnel activities across the organization.
- Assist the Project Controls Manager and Planning Department Head in managing the Project Schedule to ensure maximum business benefits for the client.
- Provide planning expertise and assist the project with planning activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the planning function during the design and/or construction stages of assigned projects.
- Assess the effectiveness of working practices and systems, aiming for continuous improvement in systems, personal, and team performance.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems.
- Manage the Planning Team to provide a complete Planning/Scheduling service within the organization.
- Supervise and direct the activities of the Planning Focal Point and Planning Engineers.
- Collaborate directly with the client's UEV Cost & Planning to implement planning processes, procedures, and systems, making continuous improvements.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as required, and analyze contractors’ reports.
- Manage activities and processes to ensure consistent and accurate preparation of Assets and Shutdown plans.
- Liaise with the Engineering Manager, Construction Manager, Operations Development, and Asset Focal Points to ensure planning accurately reflects work scopes and requirements.
- Communicate with the Management Team regarding relevant costs and planning issues.
- Prepare regular status reports and forecasts for project management and client review.
- Supervise and develop planning and specialist support staff at home and/or field office locations.
- Maintain the current and baseline schedule, analyze proposed changes, and manage the baseline change control authorization process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
- Minimum of 10 years total post-graduation experience.
- At least 5 years post-graduation experience on buildings projects.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Planning.
- Required experience with Planning Software such as Primavera or MS Project.
