We are seeking a Network Administrator who is ready to make a difference every day in our Sigonella, Italy location. The role supports the CNIC Regional Offices by enhancing operational performance and cost reductions through the definition, analysis, and development of technical capabilities aimed at automating processes and improving decision-making transparency.

As a CNIC N6 Network Administrator, you will primarily provide technical support for Audio Visual (AV) and Video Teleconference Center (VTC) systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading AV/VTC and network systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Monitoring all AV/VTC and network infrastructure systems for vendor supportability, particularly End Of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS) issues.
  • Scheduling and performing patching or upgrade downtimes when users are not impacted.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders in support of installation, maintenance, and administration of AV/VTC and network systems.
  • Ensuring AV/VTC equipment for meetings is configured and ready for operation.
  • Supporting the design, configuration/setup, testing, maintenance, and upgrade of Wide Area Networks (WAN), Local Area Networks (LAN), and other network solutions.
  • Testing designs and configurations to meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Acting as a backup to the Network Administrator and providing additional assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • U.S Citizenship is mandatory.
  • An up-to-date DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II baseline certification.
  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Hands-on experience in at least three of the following areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Cisco Network switches/hardware.
  • Proficiency in running ACAS scans, completing DISA STIGs, and reconciling cybersecurity weaknesses.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • A valid/active U.S. Passport is required.
