Position

We are seeking a Network Administrator for our location in Sigonella, Italy. As part of the CNIC Regional Offices, this role is pivotal in enhancing operational performance and reducing costs through business process definition, technical capability development, and automation processes to improve analytics and decision-making. The CNIC N6 Network Administrator will provide technical support for Audio Visual (AV) and Video Teleconference (VTC) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade, and administer AV/VTC and network systems.
  • Monitor vendor supportability status for all AV/VTC and network systems, especially those that are at End Of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS).
  • Obtain necessary accounts to download and upgrade AV/VTC and network device operating systems or firmware.
  • Schedule and perform downtime for patching or upgrades to minimize user impact.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and administration of AV/VTC and network systems.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling CLASSIFIED and UNCLASSIFIED meetings and configuring the necessary AV/VTC equipment.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Wide Area Networks (WAN), Local Area Networks (LAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and more.
  • Test configurations to ensure compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLA's).

Qualifications:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • An up-to-date DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II baseline certification.
  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 8 years of IT experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with systems requirements, operational requirements, test & evaluation, and training.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Cisco network switches/hardware.
  • Ability to run ACAS scans and complete DISA STIGs, along with addressing identified weaknesses.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • A valid/active U.S. Passport is required.
