Operations Director

About the Role

The Operations Director is responsible for the entire cycle of operations, which includes negotiations, budgeting, and purchasing. This role leads the development of long-term operational strategies in collaboration with senior management to meet company objectives while overseeing all operation documentation to ensure consistent and efficient workflows. The ultimate goal is to yield optimal productivity and performance within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
• Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for daily operational performance to ensure the efficient and timely completion of tasks.
• Devise strategies for enterprise-wide program growth, identifying and implementing process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs.
• Work closely with human resources to lead the team with integrity while establishing and maintaining a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
• Manage the sector team or Project Managers and Associate Project Managers, developing talent for the next level.
• Oversee the entrepreneurial construction process from onset to closeout, including subcontractor/vendor and in-house personnel management.
• Uphold organizational policies and standards, ensuring compliance with legislative regulations.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and achieve project goals.
• Strong skills in overseeing multiple construction projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and to quality standards.
• Proficiency in managing budgets, controlling costs, and conducting financial analysis for profitability and resource allocation.
• Excellent leadership capabilities to guide and motivate teams, alongside effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, are required for success in this role.

Job Experience

• A minimum of 8 years of working experience, including 5 years in a relevant supervisory position.
• 2 years of experience in the GCC is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Construction Management.
• Professional degree, preferably a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
