Planning Engineer

About the Role
This position focuses on the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. The role requires monitoring project progress against approved baselines and identifying delays, risks, and critical activities, while coordinating with various teams to ensure alignment with project milestones.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor project progress against approved baselines and identify delays, risks, and critical activities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and schedule updates.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment with project milestones.
• Analyze schedule deviations and recommend corrective and recovery actions.
• Support resource planning, look-ahead schedules, and progress forecasting.
• Assist in preparing project reports, progress presentations, and contractual schedule submissions.

Requirements
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, water, or sewage treatment plant projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
• GCC experience is preferred, with Qatar experience considered an advantage.
