About the Role
This position is responsible for providing an independent and objective assessment and analysis of projects in the Project Execution and Performance Support (PEPS) division. The role involves identifying challenges and risks associated with projects, and providing in-depth analysis to ensure that projects meet their sanctioned commitments, schedules, and costs. The individual will offer recommendations to overcome challenges while focusing on achieving project business objectives. Additionally, the role requires providing an independent opinion on project performance, deliverables, and objectives aligned with the company’s business objectives and value creation criteria. This is accomplished through executing project analysis, conducting project reviews and audits, and gathering contractor market intelligence relevant to PEPS projects. The position also aims to create communities of best practice for project management throughout PEPS.

Responsibilities
- Conduct independent assessments and analyses of projects within the PEPS division.
- Identify project challenges and risks, providing necessary analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure projects meet sanctioned commitments, schedules, and costs.
- Provide independent opinions on project performance and objectives.
- Execute project reviews, audits, and gather relevant market intelligence.
- Establish and foster communities of best practice for project management.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in engineering and project management, specifically in executing multidiscipline projects.
- At least ten (10) years in project management leadership roles, preferably as a Project Manager, with a proven track record in the oil and gas industry.
- Experienced in developing project execution strategies, project management processes, and HSEQ reviews necessary for project execution in both oil and gas and infrastructure sectors.
- Possess extensive interpersonal skills and strong leadership and team-building qualities.
Educational Qualifications
- B.Sc. Degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized university; a higher degree would be advantageous.
- Membership in a recognized professional engineering and/or project management association/institution is advantageous.
