Project Manager (Omani National) -Electrification & Automation.

Join our Smart Infrastructure Electrification & Automation division as a Project Manager and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow. In this role, you will manage customer projects according to defined Project Management (PM) standards and customer requirements while being responsible for delivering successful economic results.

Responsibilities:

• Manage single- and multiple Substation Control System (SCS) / SCADA solution projects.
• Lead all phases of assigned projects—from planning to execution and final closeout.
• Manage the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s).
• Define project milestones and ensure alignment with master plans and timelines.
• Communicate expectations, updates, risks, and progress clearly to leadership and customers.
• Lead and drive multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics, and services to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide routine status reports covering scope, budget, schedule, and performance.
• Regularly inform customers, management, project team, and additional interested parties (Stakeholders) of the project status.
• Carry out Risk Identification and Mitigation activities.
• Monitor cash-flow planning and activate appropriate escalation procedures.
• Handle customer expectations throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Conduct diagnostics to resolve root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate overall planning of the project and decide on resource allocation.
• Develop strategies to continue and/or reinforce engagements with the customer.
• Ensure strong proposal and contract management on the project, evaluating impacts of changed requirements or delivery items regarding costs, project plan, etc.
• Monitor milestones and adherence to budgets, initiating actions to minimize non-conformance costs while maintaining communication with customers, outside contractors, and stakeholders.
• May coordinate agreed commissioning measures onsite, together with the Service team.
• Adhere to PM standards and Business Conduct Guidelines (e.g. Tax regulations, Export Control, EHS).
• Manage and coordinate all temporarily assigned project staff.
• Manage project completion/closeout and acceptance of delivery units and services, including validation, verification, and organizing the finalized handover to the customer and involved parties.

Qualifications and Skills – Digital and Solid!

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in Substation Control System (SCS) /SCADA/RTU; knowledge of Gas and Air insulated Switchgear, Protection relays is an added advantage.
• PMP or company Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within one year of hire).
• Experience in project management with P&L responsibility.
• Experience in the order execution of Substation Control System (SCS) /SCADA solution projects with direct interface to the customer/public authorities/subcontractors and factories.
• Excellent communication and planning skills.
• Fluent in English.
