About the Role
We are looking for a Projects Manager for IFEC & Connected Cabin to manage projects and workstreams that support the transformation of the company’s inflight entertainment, connectivity, and connected cabin experience. The role will coordinate delivery of new passenger-facing capabilities, entertainment platform enhancements, seatback user experience improvements, connectivity-enabled services, moving-map enhancements, content and editorial implementation initiatives, and related fleet deployment activities.
You will work with product owners, internal and external stakeholders to ensure that business cases, product, experience and content requirements are structured into comprehensive project plans. You will be accountable for the disciplined day-to-day management of project monitoring across the entire project lifecycle such as research & strategy, business cases, planning, design and development, testing, implementation, product rollout, benefits tracking.

Key Responsibilities

IFEC & Connected Cabin Project Delivery

  • Establish and maintain project governance for assigned projects and workstreams, ensuring clear milestones, approvals, decision forums, risk management, issue escalation and accountability throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, action logs and delivery trackers aligned with the integrated programme plan and agreed priorities.
  • Coordinate scope, requirements, resources, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress against agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations, escalating issues with authority and independence.
  • Support on planning and tracking of dependencies for deployment across fleet and platforms.

Passenger Experience & Feature Implementation

  • Ensure approved product concepts, user journeys and design requirements are translated into clear delivery milestones, test activities and implementation plans.
  • Ensure passenger experience requirements, accessibility considerations, brand standards and operational needs remain visible throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate demonstrations, design reviews, user validation and stakeholder approvals and ensure that there is consistent documentation of decisions and tracker of actions to closure.
  • Ensure launch planning and product communications activities for new or enhanced IFEC and Connected Cabin capabilities are in place.

Content, Editorial & Media Readiness

  • Develop project implementation plans for approved content and editorial strategies.
  • Ensure that internal and external content and media stakeholders and platform suppliers are aligned on content-related deliverables with appropriate product releases, campaigns and fleet rollout plans.
  • Track readiness of content packages, editorial assets, metadata, artwork, promotional placements and passenger-facing communications required for assigned transformation initiatives to identify risks, resourcing and potential impacts on brand and quality standards.
  • Monitor cadences of approvals and delivery dependencies relating to new content propositions, strategic content partnerships and changes to the onboard editorial experience.
  • Ensure transformation projects are integrated with the delivery cadence of monthly media cycles.

Testing, Quality Control & Operational Readiness

  • Ensure that end-to-end testing and quality control activities are in place across teams and stage gates.
  • Implement tools and methods to ensure the proper capture of test plans, defect logs, acceptance criteria and approvals.
  • Ensure that plans and cadences for user acceptance testing, content validation, regression testing, release validation and operational readiness are in place.
  • Have oversight of launch criteria, training, support, communications, documentation and operational handover requirements before deployment.

Performance, Benefits & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure activities are in place for the tracking of project-level benefits and success measures.
  • Ensure post-launch monitoring and issue resolution are in place to protect customer experience and operational stability.
  • Ensure approved business cases or programme plans are supported by clearly defined success measures, including implementation progress, feature adoption, platform usage, content engagement, customer feedback, quality and operational performance criteria.
  • Maintain project dashboards and provide accurate, timely status reports covering progress, milestones, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and benefits.
  • Coordinate post-implementation reviews and ensure that lessons learned, delivery insights and improvement actions are in place from product owners.
  • Identify variance from agreed outcomes and work with all accountable teams to define recovery or improvement actions.
  • Provide project data and evidence to support consolidated programme reporting and benefits reviews.

Stakeholder, Supplier & Financial Coordination

  • Act as a day-to-day coordination point for program governance and activity monitoring for leadership.
  • Plan and facilitate project meetings, workshops, reviews and readiness forums, ensuring decisions, actions and accountable owners are clearly documented.
  • Monitor supplier deliverables, dependencies and implementation commitments against agreed project schedules and escalate exceptions appropriately.
  • Support budget oversight for assigned projects by tracking approved budgets, RFPs, purchase requests, supplier costs, invoicing milestones. Work with product owners and finance team on forecast updates and financial reporting in line with approved controls.
  • Prepare clear project updates, dashboards and presentation materials for the Grade 9 programme lead, management and governance forums.
  • Support departmental objectives related to leadership, employee development, data protection, safety and environmental responsibility.

Required Skills and Experience

  • To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate strong project management discipline, digital and media fluency, and the ability to coordinate delivery across complex customer experience, technical and operational environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience in project management, digital products, customer experience, technology delivery, media, content operations and/or aviation.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of customer-facing digital products, technology platforms, connected services or experience-led initiatives.
  • Practical experience supporting projects or significant workstreams across the full lifecycle, from research, strategy definition and requirements gathering through development, implementation, product rollout, post-launch monitoring and closeout.
  • Good understanding of project governance, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, dependency management, change control and stakeholder reporting.
  • Sound financial literacy with the ability to support project budget tracking, cost monitoring, purchase and invoice follow-up, forecast discipline and basic variance identification.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience principles and the ability to balance customer, operational and technical considerations throughout project delivery.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including business, product, design, content, technology and operational stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating external vendors, suppliers, technology partners or content providers as part of project delivery activities.
  • Understanding of IFEC ecosystems, connectivity solutions, digital media operations, editorial workflows, content readiness, metadata management and aircraft deployment processes would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities, maintain attention to detail and proactively identify and escalate risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Proficiency in project and collaboration tools such as Asana, Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence. Experience with reporting, dashboarding and analytics tools would be beneficial.
