Key Responsibilities

  • Process Deployment & Standardization:

    • Local Adaptation: Translate global corporate engineering procedures into actionable, localized work instructions tailored to the Kraków center without compromising global standards.
    • Process Enforcement: Act as the primary enforcer of the Design Assurance System (DAS), ensuring engineers understand and correctly apply the required methods and workflows.
    • Global Integration: Act as the liaison with the Global Quality & Methods team to ensure the Kraków center's tools, templates, and data management systems integrate seamlessly with the global network.
  • DOA Compliance & Independent Monitoring:

    • Audit Execution: Conduct independent monitoring and internal audits of the Kraków center’s design activities to verify strict adherence to the company CS-25 DOA procedures.
    • Compliance Verification: Sample and verify engineering deliverables (drawings, stress reports, test plans) to ensure they meet certification standards before final signatory approval.
    • Signatory Management: Support the qualification, tracking, and continuous evaluation of local Compliance Verification Engineers (CVEs) and authorized signatories.
  • Quality Engineering & Defect Prevention:

    • Root Cause Analysis: Lead complex investigations using standard methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa) when process non-conformances, design escapes, or audit findings occur.
    • Performance Metrics: Define, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as First-Time-Right (FTR) rates, rework percentages, and audit non-conformity closures.
    • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify bottlenecks in the engineering workflow and propose lean engineering process improvements to reduce cycle times while maintaining compliance.
  • Export Control & Technology Transfer:

    • Data Classification: Ensure that all engineering artifacts (CAD models, stress reports, test data) are properly evaluated and marked according to EU Dual-Use regulations (and ITAR/EAR, if applicable) prior to any data transfer.
    • System Access Auditing: Audit user access rights within the company's PLM/PDM systems to prevent unauthorized access by restricted nationalities or unapproved entities.
    • TCP Enforcement: Establish and enforce the center's Technology Control Plan (TCP) to regulate the flow of technical data between the Kraków center, the French HQ, and global suppliers.
  • Training & Culture:

    • Compliance Culture: Foster a "quality and compliance-first" mindset across the engineering team, emphasizing the critical safety and legal implications of aerospace design and data sharing.
    • Mandatory Training: Develop and deliver mandatory onboarding and refresher training for all local staff regarding EASA regulations, the company CS-25, internal quality manuals, and Export Control awareness.

  • Audit Credentials: Certified Lead Auditor for aerospace standards (EN/AS9100) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Process Assurance, or Airworthiness within the aerospace industry.
