Job Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities.
- Represent the company in the court of law and coordinate with management as required.
- Establish and build a network of contacts, including peers and external counterparts.
- Prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for departmental leadership meetings.
- Coordinate clearances from various government bodies and assist in risk management related to organizational matters of concern.
- Draft and vet all legal documents, coordinating with a panel of lawyers to ensure legal soundness.
- Liaise with relevant government offices and other competent authorities.
- Visit competent authorities for documentation, follow up, and maintain records.
- Coordinate, brief, and discuss with lawyers for legal cases and negotiate the fee structure of advocates.
- Arrange for arbitration proceedings and provide required documents to appointed advocates.
- Follow up with advocates for updates on legal cases.
- Coordinate with concerned officers to attend court.
- Attend meetings and conferences as required or directed by superiors.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Extensive experience in legal documentation for contracts, tender documents, due diligence of land, performance guarantees, and support during MOUs, JVs, development agreements, lease agreements, and license agreements, ensuring alignment with the company's interests.
- Familiarity with government acts and document registration, and strong exposure to general litigation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local legal matters and their applicability.
- Understanding of all applicable laws, including civil, criminal, labor, and consumer laws.
- Capability to review ongoing cases and provide management with appropriate advice.
- Ability to assess the progress of outstanding litigation and manage relationships with external senior counsel.
- Knowledge of legal compliance for business areas, changes in business use, and transfer of ownership.
- Proficient in ERP systems, preferably with SAP functional skills essential for success in this role.
Job Experience
- Minimum of 14 years of relevant working experience, with at least 4 years in GCC countries.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Law.
