Senior Network and Security Administrator

We are currently looking for a Senior Network and Security Administrator for our Qatar operations. This role requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field and 5 to 10 years of experience in banking network environments and security roles. Candidates should have exposure to NAC and Firewall technologies, specifically Avanti Pulse Secure or Aruba Clear Pass, as well as hold certifications like Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE). Additional valuable certifications include CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+. Highly regarded security-focused certifications are such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Banking network environments and security roles.
• Required exposure to NAC and Firewall; proficiency with Avanti Pulse Secure or Aruba Clear Pass.
• Preferred certifications: CCNP, CCIE.
• Valuable foundational knowledge certifications: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+.
• Highly regarded: CISSP or CISM certifications.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and architectures.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices and firewalls.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS and VPN technologies.
• Knowledge of network security best practices, including threat detection and mitigation.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional teamwork and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership skills for mentoring junior staff and leading projects.

Industry Knowledge:

• Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in network security and technology.

Cybersecurity Ethics:

• Understanding of ethical hacking and the ethical/legal considerations in cybersecurity.
