Generic Accountabilities
- Corporate Governance and Compliance: Work fully within risk policies and procedures and compliance regulations to ensure all divisional activities comply with corporate governance and regulatory/legal frameworks.
Specific Accountabilities
- Liquidity Metrics Oversight: Track key liquidity metrics including Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Loan-to-Deposit Ratio (LDR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), liquidity ladder, and Reserve Requirement.
- Liquidity Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal liquidity requirements.
- Risk Identification: Conduct regular analysis to identify trends and potential liquidity risks.
- Financial Modeling: Utilize financial models and data analysis techniques to calculate liquidity ratios and project cashflows.
- Forecasting: Provide insights into future liquidity needs based on various scenarios and market conditions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams to incorporate business projections into liquidity analysis.
- ALCO Support: Assist in preparing mini-ALCO presentations and other desk-related presentations.
- Presentation Preparations: Assist in preparing presentations of findings and recommendations of the ALM unit and ensure presentations are clear, concise, and visually appealing.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain open communication with the money market desk and other business units to optimize liquidity ratios.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with Treasury, Risk Management, and other relevant departments to address liquidity-related issues and implement solutions.
- Alignment Facilitation: Act as a liaison between various departments to ensure alignment on liquidity management strategies.
Job Success Factors
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Certification/Experience in Finance or Economics
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with financial analysis, preferably in a related field such as banking, finance, or treasury.
- Understanding of financial concepts, including liquidity ratios, balance sheets, and cashflows.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to liquidity management in the financial industry.
- Knowledge of financial modeling techniques and tools for analyzing liquidity metrics.
- Awareness of market dynamics and their impact on liquidity positions.
- Understanding of risk management principles and their application in liquidity management.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to incorporate business projections into liquidity analysis and decision-making processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze financial data and interpret liquidity ratios to identify trends and potential risks.
