About the Role
The Technician plays a crucial role in supporting Production operations by troubleshooting mechanical equipment reliability issues and failures. This position involves performing scheduled routine preventative and corrective maintenance on all assigned mechanical equipment under the supervision of the discipline/Campaign Supervisor. The goal is to maintain a safe, reliable, and efficient operational environment while achieving Campaign targets and minimizing impact on plant operations.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical support in troubleshooting plant reliability and failures on mechanical equipment.
- Execute Basic Care activities as per Operations routines.
- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate with the discipline/Campaign Supervisor to ensure maintenance is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
- Adhere to safety practices relevant to the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry.
Required Experience and Skills
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in the oil and gas/petrochemical industry.
- Capability to understand P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) drawings.
- Comprehensive working and maintenance knowledge of mechanical equipment in hazardous area zones 0, 1, & 2, particularly on process plants and wellheads.
- Proficiency in alignment of rotating equipment, flange/bolt torquing/tensioning, and basic rigging/lifting.
- Strong understanding of safety practices in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry.
Educational Qualifications
- Completion of Secondary School education or equivalent, followed by a relevant trade certificate/diploma.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Computer literate, with a working knowledge of MS Office and SAP CMMS.
