SR. SAFETY TECHNICIAN

About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to conduct safety inspections across all work areas of the Industrial Directorate and contractors, including operational areas and project worksites. The role involves providing appropriate recommendations and/or control measures against observed Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) violations in accordance with established HSE policies, procedures, and regulations. Additionally, you will assist in managing the HSE aspects of the RLIC or MIC Permit To Work (PTW) system to ensure compliance with the company's HSE standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections of operational areas and project worksites.
• Provide recommendations and control measures for HSE violations.
• Assist in managing the HSE aspects of the PTW system.

Required Experience and Skills

• Completed 12 years of education.
• Higher National Certificate in Engineering, Safety, or Science or equivalent (e.g. Recognized International Safety Certificate approved by QP such as IOSH or Nebosh).
• Knowledge and experience in providing Safety Training is highly desirable.
• Attendance in a safety management course.
• A minimum of 6 years relevant practical experience as a safety practitioner, preferably in an oil, gas, or petrochemical environment.
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of construction and/or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and administration skills, with the capability to work in a multinational environment.
• Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings effectively.
• Hold a valid driving license.

Educational Qualifications
