About the Role
The Vehicle Functional Manager is the primary liaison between the company and the customer, directly overseeing the vehicles functional area. This role maintains accountability for the maintenance status of all program vehicle assets, ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all applicable contract mandatory document requirements and standards. The Vehicle Functional Manager determines staffing levels and establishes program reconstitution goals while ensuring adherence to the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Principal Accountabilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between USAFCENT and the company on issues pertaining to managing GPMS vehicles.
- Receive, review, and submit PWS deliverables to the customer.
- Communicate inputs to PMO regarding planning, programming, solutions, and execution of the contract.
- Ensure all functional activities align with USAFCENT and the company standards as outlined in the PWS to meet contract requirements.
- Review and validate Limited Technical Inspections (LTI) reports and depot-level requirements.
- Identify and coordinate with various agencies for specialized training requirements that need to be sourced externally.
- Manage the MDR, TCTO, and Service Bulletin programs to guarantee timely compliance.
- Provide inputs for semi-annual Program Status Review (PSR) and Program Management Review (PMR) briefings to Senior Management.
- Communicate new directives, procedural changes, special taskings, and other important updates to site department personnel.
- Monitor all deployment activities, including exercises and wartime response in accordance with the PWS.
- Create, coordinate, implement, and revise Vehicle Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Training Plans, as necessary, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze achievable metrics for assigned requirements to facilitate ongoing process improvements.
- Collaborate with Quality Control Inspectors to identify and rectify non-compliance performance issues.
- Prepare and deliver management reports as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Work in a normal office environment with light to moderate lifting as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of military vehicle repair procedures and regulations, maintenance analysis activities, contract administration, supply, and technical order and material deficiency reporting systems; knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Standards required.
- Proficient in personal computer use, Windows Operating System, and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain a host nation driver's license.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ten years of vehicle management experience, preferably in an Air Force setting.
- Four years of supervisory experience required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization; U.S. Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with DPAS and related USAF mandatory vehicles reporting tools and computer systems is preferred.
