As a Technical Owner, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of a product, project, or solution. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure that technical requirements are met and that the product aligns with the overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Vision: Develop and communicate a clear technical vision and strategy for the product or project that aligns with business goals and technical standards.
- Technical Requirements: Define and document technical requirements, including architecture, infrastructure, and technology stack, to support the product's functionality and performance.
- Technical Roadmap: Create and maintain a technical roadmap that outlines the evolution of the product's technical components over time.
- Technical Backlog Management: Manage the technical backlog, including user stories, technical tasks, and architectural improvements. Prioritize and groom the backlog to ensure alignment with the product's technical vision.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to ensure a deep understanding of technical requirements and to provide guidance on technical implementation.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee and ensure the quality and performance of technical deliverables, including code reviews, testing, and system performance assessments.
- Risk Management: Identify technical risks and challenges and work proactively to mitigate them. Make data-driven decisions to address technical issues and changes in project scope.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and technical specifications.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that the product adheres to security and compliance standards and practices relevant to the industry or domain.
- Scalability and Performance: Monitor and optimize the product's scalability, performance, and reliability, and take actions to address any bottlenecks or issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
- Proven experience in a technical leadership or product ownership role.
- Strong technical background and a deep understanding of software development, architecture, and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of relevant tools and technologies used in the organization (e.g., programming languages, cloud platforms, DevOps tools)
