About the Job:

The Performance Management Team Leader plays a critical role in the IT organization by overseeing the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of the performance and capacity of the IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for leading a team of analysts to ensure the optimal utilization of IT resources, identifying performance bottlenecks, and providing insights and recommendations to support capacity planning and infrastructure optimization efforts.

The Performance Management Team Leader collaborates with cross-functional teams and utilizes performance monitoring and reporting tools to ensure the stability, scalability, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of performance and capacity analysts, set performance goals, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Performance Monitoring: Oversee the monitoring of IT infrastructure components, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Guide the team in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting performance data from various sources.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Create and maintain performance dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide insights into the health of the IT infrastructure.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Identify performance bottlenecks and anomalies through root cause analysis.
  • Collaboration: Work with infrastructure teams to define and track performance metrics and SLAs for critical IT services.
  • Capacity Planning: Oversee capacity planning activities to ensure availability of resources for future business needs.
  • Resource Optimization: Identify underutilized or overutilized resources and recommend optimization adjustments.
  • Business Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align performance monitoring activities with organizational goals.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Process Improvement: Drive the development and improvement of performance monitoring processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in performance monitoring and analysis, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Performance Testing) are a plus.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components and proficiency in monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, or Nagios.
    • Familiarity with capacity management principles and experience with data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel or Power BI.
  • Personal Skills and Qualities:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple incidents under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
