We are seeking a skilled Principal Engineer to provide expertise in Mechanical Engineering for the development of operational support for autonomous systems applications.

Responsibilities:
- Lead analysis to determine aerodynamic coefficients and airflow characteristics of air vehicles (fixed and rotary wing UAVs) using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and other analysis methods.
- Conduct CFD analysis of compartment bays for airflow characterization and thermal coefficient determinations.
- Oversee the design of aerodynamic shapes of air vehicles.
- Perform trade-off studies related to aerostats and their derivatives.
- Collaborate with system, avionics, and mechanical teams to optimize aero and fluid dynamics and thermal management solutions for enhanced system performance.
- Determine the locations and characteristics of attitude and air sensors and define optimal sensor placements.
- Carry out laboratory and field testing and data collection to establish environmental conditions for avionics LRUs and air vehicle compartments.
- Define and test aerodynamic loads and conduct wind tunnel tests, including data cleaning and aerodynamic database preparation.
- Manage small development projects outsourced to subcontractors.
- Apply CAD/CAE tools effectively for analysis and design activities, including ANSYS Fluent, Excel, Visual Basic or Matlab, CATIA for solid modeling, and FEA tools (Nastran).
- Follow established guidelines for product development, including ARP4754 for system engineering and MIL-STD 961D for subsystem technical specifications.
- Support program milestones and major reviews, adhering to ADASI quality assurance and configuration management protocols.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least four years of experience in aerodynamic analysis via CFD, including geometry cleanup, meshing, and post-processing/flow visualization.
