Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Oversee the entire engineering pipeline, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality delivery.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, facilitating their personal and professional growth.
- Project Execution & Delivery: Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of AI models, APIs, and full-stack applications.
- Remove Technical Blockers: Act as a point of escalation for the development team, resolving technical issues promptly.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Ensure alignment between technical delivery and business goals through effective communication and collaboration.
- Architectural Oversight: Ensure that the technical architecture is scalable, maintainable, and well-integrated.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote software engineering best practices, driving initiatives around code quality and development workflows.
- Performance Management: Track and report on team performance, ensuring adherence to project timelines and technical excellence.
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Solid experience across the full engineering stack (front-end, back-end, and AI) with hands-on expertise.
- Proven experience in code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with Generative AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs) and natural language processing (NLP).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing engineering teams.
- Knowledge of ethical AI practices and a commitment to responsible AI solutions.
