The Data Center Operations Cluster Manager is a senior management role within our data center operations organization in the UAE. This position requires strong leadership and management skills, as you will oversee a large organization, managing managers who are responsible for the operational availability of network and server systems at scale.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data center IT infrastructure and Amazon Web Services, and be passionate about Customer Experience. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Center Operations Managers, including people, performance, career, and technical management.
- Manage Data Center Operations (DCO) within Amazon Data Centers and leased areas within third-party colocation facilities, addressing risk management and critical infrastructure metric reporting.
- Attain organizational performance goals and objectives related to safety, security, availability, scaling, and efficiency in support of data center operations.
- Ensure compliance with security and safety policies and procedures.
- Drive innovation and automation while continuously improving operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.
- Develop and share operational best practices globally.
- Hire, manage, and develop the operations management team, including data center managers and operations technicians.
- Plan and execute infrastructure operations for new AWS data center build-outs and expansions.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in managing personnel in 24/7 critical operations environments.
- Familiarity with computer components, operating systems, and direct data center operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a manager of managers.
- Knowledge of availability incident management and resolution processes.
