We have an exciting Network Technician opportunity available for a UAE national with family book. You will be part of the Infrastructure Delivery (ID) team, delivering AWS network installation and deployments in AWS Cloud regions while working closely with internal customers, external vendors, and coordinating regional resources to facilitate smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes with continuous improvement in mind.
- Work closely with Network Engineering & Network Technical Program Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth rollout of new designs and products.
- Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, servers, and switches.
- Lead network and committee projects while collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and workflow.
- Install and patch network cabling of various types while demonstrating knowledge for fiber optic and network cabling standards.
- Handle heavy equipment, moving and lifting computer equipment up to 50lbs.
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and diagnose hardware and network problems, followed by physical replacement of damaged or faulty equipment.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of computer networking experience.
- Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science.
- Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks.
- Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
- UAE National with family book.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant background in large scale datacenter network implementations and support.
- Experience dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
- Strong understanding of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco, JunOS, etc.) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Professional experience with IT & Project Management best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE) and Operational Excellence concepts is a plus.
