The TIPM will lead cross-functional teams to drive the implementation and deployment of data center expansion projects, addressing the demands of our rapidly growing business.

The role involves guiding multi-discipline, highly technical project teams through all stages of the Data Center development lifecycle—starting from initial site due diligence through construction and into operation. The core responsibility is to deliver capacity for our customers by developing delivery programs and collaborating with stakeholder teams to identify risks and resolve issues, ensuring that programs are delivered on time and within budget.

The TIPM will work with various stakeholder teams during data center delivery, including Real Estate for feasibility and site selection, Energy for grid connection, Design Engineering to coordinate project inputs and risks, Procurement for timely delivery of critical equipment, and Construction Management to track budget and progress. Successful partnerships with Operations will ensure projects are completed and handed over effectively.

AWS Infrastructure Services oversees the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all global AWS infrastructure. This team is committed to keeping the cloud running smoothly, solving complex problems that impact the supply chain, and fostering an inclusive culture that encourages diverse ideas and ownership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Break down large, complex projects into manageable pieces.
  • Communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes clearly to cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Travel up to 25% within the EMEA region as needed (for Delivery TIPMs only).
  • Manage end-to-end program delivery from pre-contract design to final handover of Colo, Hybrid Colo, and AWS Leased/Owned Data Centers.
  • Interface between internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Build and maintain the overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Capacity Planning, Energy, and Real Estate teams to develop short and long-term build strategies.
  • Lead continuous process improvements and share knowledge across teams.
  • Regularly report to senior leadership on key project metrics.
