AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including the public sector. As a trusted customer advocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. This role focuses on the Enterprise customer segment within the United Arab Emirates, working with customers new to AWS to adopt the platform and assisting existing customers to grow.
Key job responsibilities
As a key member of the sales team, you will ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform. You will partner with the sales team to formulate and execute a sales strategy that exceeds revenue goals through the adoption of AWS. You will own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. You will also educate customers of all sizes on the AWS value proposition and participate in architectural discussions to ensure successful cloud deployment. Additionally, you will conduct training sessions to share knowledge and best practices with customers considering or using AWS.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures
- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Familiarity with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
