As a Technical Account Manager, you will impact our On-Ramp customers by helping them gain value from cloud technology. You will craft and execute strategies to drive customers’ adoption and use of AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS databases, Lambda, and CloudFront CDN. You will partner with iconic businesses, ranging from startups to large enterprises, providing advice on architecture, support strategy, and project planning. Your role includes building solutions, ensuring operational health of AWS environments, developing trusting relationships, and driving technical discussions.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Build solutions and provide technical guidance to advocate for the customer
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity
  • Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
  • Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
  • Consult with a range of partners from developers to C-suite executives
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
  • Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
  • Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions and pre-launch planning
  • Solve various problems as customers migrate workloads to the cloud
  • Run workshops and training sessions to uplift customer capabilities

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for one (1) of the following: compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scripting languages and coding skills for one (1) or more of the following: Ruby, C/C++/C#, Node.JS, Java, Python, and PHP
  • Experience in customer-facing business presentations covering business and technical aspects or equivalent
