About the Job
Amazon is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to support our European Data Center infrastructure growth initiatives. The TIPM will lead cross-functional teams to drive the implementation and deployment of data center expansion projects to meet the demands of our rapidly growing business. Our Technical Program Managers are strong communicators, both written and verbally, and lead multi-discipline, highly technical physical infrastructure project teams. They guide teams of internal and external stakeholders through all stages of the Data Center development lifecycle, from initial site due diligence through to construction and into operation.

The core role of the TIPM is to deliver capacity for our customers through developing delivery programs and working closely with stakeholder teams to identify risks and resolve issues, ensuring that these programs are delivered on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the interface between internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of Data Center projects.
  • Building and maintaining the overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to secure financing for project delivery.
  • Working with Capacity Planning, Energy, and Real Estate teams to develop short and long-term build strategies to meet forecast demand.
  • Supporting continuous process improvement by leading workflow updates and sharing knowledge across delivery teams.
  • Regularly reporting to senior leadership on the status of key project metrics versus commitments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program management experience in capital projects or mission-critical environments.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage large-scale budgets, particularly for building infrastructure projects.
  • Industry experience in data center, networking engineering, or construction management.
  • Understanding of critical environments and large capital projects, including relevant technologies (Electrical, Mechanical, Construction, Structural, etc.).
  • Experience with data center design, construction, and fit-out projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Science, or Engineering.
  • Experience delivering projects with multiple stakeholders across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
