About the Job: The Senior Security System Engineer role involves providing technical support to users by documenting system issues reported, analyzing and identifying root causes, recommending solutions, fixing issues, and delivering periodic incident reports and updates to management. The position requires experience in SQL database open connectivity development and the ability to guide internal R&D team members on the integration between developed applications and security systems. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with security system vendors to ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues raised by internal R&D teams, documenting issues, and providing status updates to management. The engineer will act as the primary point of contact to the security system vendor, attend periodic meetings, perform health checks on the security system globally, and manage application and system upgrades based on vendor recommendations to maintain compliance with standard operating procedures while enhancing software capabilities and developing testing and validation procedures. Responsibilities: - Provide technical support to users, document system issues reported, analyze & identify root causes, recommend solutions, fix issues, provide status updates to users, and deliver periodical incident reports & updates to management. - Experienced in SQL database open connectivity development. - Guide internal R&D team members on the integration between internally developed applications and security systems. - Coordinate with security system vendors to ensure outstanding issues raised by internal R&D teams are addressed in a timely manner. - Document issues and provide status updates to management on a periodical basis. - Act as the primary point of contact to the security system vendor. - Attend periodic meetings with security system vendor as required. - Perform periodic system health checks to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operation of the security system globally. - Perform application and system upgrades based on recommendations by the vendor to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. - Enhance existing software capabilities and develop direct system testing and validation procedures. Minimum Qualifications: - Education in fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or Science. - Experience in one or more programming languages, including scripting in Shell and Python, and SQL. - Experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed applications & systems, or experience in databases, operating systems, and server management & maintenance. Preferred Qualifications: - Highly self-motivated, able to proactively identify problems and promote the continuous development and progress of related projects. - Certification/training in Lenel physical security related applications & systems.
