Position

As a Simulator Technician, you will support all training center operations to provide smooth, efficient, and high-quality service at a brand-new Training Center located in Dubai, UAE. Your goal will be to achieve CAE's vision of providing world-class flight simulator training center operations, enhancing safety, efficiency, and readiness in all aspects of training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support technical and operational aspects of Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices.
  • Attend flight crew and maintenance calls, perform daily readiness checks, and support flyouts as required.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and run Qualification Test Guides (QTGs).
  • Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex training device issues.
  • Pursue permanent solutions for recurring issues and seek improvements to maintenance procedures.
  • Provide on-the-job technical training to other technicians through coaching and mentoring.
  • Maintain and support FSTD operations Management System and perform recurrent updates of various databases and documents.
  • Support logistics duties including inventories and preparation for shipping.
  • Pursue knowledge to become a technical expert in one or more simulator systems (e.g. Visual, Motion, Flight Controls).

Ideal Candidate:

  • Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation field with 3 to 6 years of related work experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Strong customer orientation with effective relationship-building skills.
  • Skilled in computer mainframe/architecture, networking, operating systems, and programming languages.
  • Proficient technical background and familiarity with FSTD technical issues.
  • Understanding of various aircraft types, particularly Commercial Jetliners (Airbus family).
  • Good grasp of local and international regulations (EASA, UAE DGCA, etc.) pertaining to FSTDs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
