Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Integration Specialist to join our team working on advanced Naval and Aircraft Simulation Systems based in Taweelah, near Abu Dhabi. Our team is responsible for the configuration and integration of software onto Naval Ship Simulators and Aircraft Tactical Simulators. You will work with around 20 devices located on-site.

As part of a small team of 2 Integration Specialists on-site, you will be part of a larger community of over 40 integration specialists led from our headquarters in Montreal, Canada. Your main responsibilities will include managing and maintaining software configuration processes, ensuring proper versioning, documentation, and integration of all software components in our simulators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Configuration Management (SCM): Manage software version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) to track and document all code and configuration changes.
  • Integration Support: Collaborate with software developers and engineering teams to integrate new features into the simulation platform.
  • Change Management: Establish and enforce change control procedures for software modifications.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation of configuration management processes, build instructions, and release notes.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve software configuration issues and environment inconsistencies.
  • Compliance: Ensure software configurations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support: Provide technical support to developers in system integration.
  • Prioritization: Manage site integration priorities and provide project status updates to upper management.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (relevant experience may substitute for degree).
  • 3+ years of experience in software configuration management, preferably in naval, aerospace, aviation, or simulation software.
  • Proficient with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Knowledge of software deployment in Windows environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the maritime domain.
  • Familiarity with simulation software or naval simulation systems.
  • Understanding of real-time simulation and embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
