Our customers include prominent public cloud and silicon providers and leaders in various industries.

We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect in our Alliances team to assist our largest partners—such as Intel, Nvidia, Google, Dell, HP, Accenture, and Tata—in adopting and utilizing our open-source platform. The role involves supporting OEMs, GSIs, ISVs, channel partners, and public cloud alliance partners in leveraging Canonical's technologies and products.

The position entails understanding customer environments, designing cloud infrastructure solutions, and promoting Canonical products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking, and services in real-world scenarios.
  • Architect cloud infrastructure solutions on Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark, both On-Premises and in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Integrate open-source software like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, and NGINX.
  • Collaborate with partners to create joint solutions utilizing Canonical technologies.
  • Design and publish Reference Architectures and conduct technical validations with partners.
  • Prepare and lead onboarding sessions/workshops to promote Canonical products.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, and cloud automation.
  • Experience in designing and implementing solutions on public or private clouds.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash with troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High motivation with the ability to multitask and follow up on commitments.
  • Interest in customer engagement, including pitching and understanding customer needs.

Benefits

Canonical offers a competitive compensation package that reflects experience and performance, along with annual compensation review, performance-driven bonuses, personal learning and development budget, annual holiday leave, maternity and paternity leave, and opportunities for travel.

Canonical is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.

This position requires a passion for open-source technologies and the ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
