The Ubuntu Community team at Canonical facilitates community initiatives by coordinating with community leaders and ensuring efficient processes. As a Community Engineer, you will support community initiatives, engage with volunteer developers, and create successful tools within the Ubuntu community.
In this role, you will:
- Utilize technical and organizational skills to integrate community plans with Canonical plans.
- Encourage the creation of new technical projects to enhance community contributions.
- Communicate effectively with developers and represent community interests within Canonical.
- Provide content and support to keep the community engaged through blogs and social media.
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for open source software, Linux, and community building, likely fitting profiles with experience in DevOps, software development, or related fields.
Work Conditions: Full-time, remote work with potential travel (2 to 4 weeks for internal and external events).
Requirements:
- Strong technical skills, particularly in Linux.
