We are seeking an Embedded Linux Field Engineering Manager to oversee a regional team of field engineers engaged in Presales and Professional Services. This role involves guiding customers through solution architecture, design, and delivery, working closely with technology entrepreneurs to tackle complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers in Presales and Professional Services.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, promoting our technologies.
  • Coach and mentor team members, facilitating their professional development.
  • Monitor team health indicators and implement disciplined engineering processes.
  • Represent the team and its products to various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate actively with other leadership team members.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional academic record with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
  • Extensive experience with embedded Linux (Yocto or similar) and Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
  • Experience managing a small team and engaging with customers professionally.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.

Desired Traits:

  • Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and proficiency in additional languages (programming and human).
  • Previous work experience in a remote-first, diverse, and distributed company.
