About the Job:

We are hiring a Golang Software Engineer at any level of experience who is dedicated to engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and skill development. This position offers a chance to work closely with software systems and open-source solutions in our Commercial Systems unit.
This unit consists of five engineering teams that collaborate with engineering and business teams. The teams include:
- Billing Team: Develops a Golang service designed for scalable billing solutions, providing customers real-time visibility of their costs.
- Contracts Team: Creates the authoritative service for managing customer contracts with a structured approach to storing and integrating data across systems.
- Livepatch Team: Responsible for developing a service that delivers Linux kernel patches to address critical vulnerabilities while operating systems are running.
Responsibilities:
- Develop engineering solutions leveraging Golang.
- Collaborate on technical designs and code reviews.
- Deploy and operate the services developed by the team.
- Coach and mentor team members based on seniority.
- Promote excellent engineering and organizational practices.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic background from high school and university.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical field or a strong personal narrative of alternative experience.
- Experience in software development using Golang.
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
- Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events, up to two weeks long.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Performance engineering and security experience.
- Familiarity with accounting, sales, or related business roles.
