About the Job:

We are hiring an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services activities, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery.
Our mission in Internet of Things (IoT) is to empower companies to build fleets of secure connected devices. Our Field Engineers are thought leaders who help customers solve complex problems with hands-on expertise in embedded Linux strategies and delivery. They are dedicated to assisting customers in achieving their ambitious technical and business goals while promoting the Canonical approach to open-source and connected devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers in the areas of Presales and Professional Services.
- Solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and serving as a trusted advisor.
- Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback.
- Identify and measure team health indicators and implement disciplined engineering processes.
- Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux (Yocto or other) and Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Ability to manage a small team and experience with customer engagements.
- Professional written and spoken English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
Work Conditions:
- This is a remote role based in one of three Geographies: Americas, EMEA, or APAC.
- The role requires working mainly within a single major time zone.
