We are seeking an Embedded Linux Field Engineering Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services activities, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery. The successful candidate will have a unique blend of skills, including a strong understanding of Linux and proficiency in coding and scripting. Experience with low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development methodologies is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of Field engineers involved in Presales and Professional Services.
  • Solve customer challenges by promoting our technologies and serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive remote work environment.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide the professional development of team members.
  • Represent the team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
  • Implement disciplined engineering processes and practices.
  • Plan and manage team projects and progress towards goals.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Exceptional academic track record (High school and university).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Extensive embedded Linux experience (Yocto or similar).
  • Proficient in Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
  • Fluency in at least one programming language: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
  • Strong customer engagement experience.
  • Professional written and spoken English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Result-oriented mindset with the ability to articulate the business benefits of technology.

Desirable Traits:

  • Experience with RTOS and additional languages (programming and human).
  • Previous experience in a remote-first, diverse, distributed company.
