We are looking for engineering managers with a strong background in software development and team leadership, particularly those familiar with Linux on physical servers, storage, and data center networking. The role includes leading a distributed team, mentoring engineers, and promoting effective technical delivery while collaborating across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a distributed team of engineers.
  • Mentor and develop team members through coaching, feedback, and career planning.
  • Manage expectations with other engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Advocate for modern software development practices.
  • Participate in code and architectural reviews.
  • Engage with the broader open source community and partners.
  • Travel for up to 6 weeks per year to internal and external events.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional academic track record.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject.
  • Strong communication skills in professional written and spoken English.
  • Experience with Linux (preferably Debian or Ubuntu).
  • Familiarity with modern Linux cloud computing technologies, including networking, storage, containers, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience programming in Python and Go.
  • Ability to travel internationally for company events.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with TypeScript and modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Svelte, Vue).

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation that reflects experience and performance, with annual reviews.
  • Performance-driven annual bonus or commission.
  • Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Opportunities to travel and meet colleagues globally.
  • A diverse and inclusive workplace free from discrimination.
