As an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager, you will lead a regionally-focused team of Field Engineers involved in Presales and Professional Services. You will aid customers in solution architecture, design, and delivery, ensuring high-quality and security standards for IoT devices and systems.
Location: Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, remote position. You must be located in either the Americas, EMEA, or APAC regions to manage a team across those time zones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers in Presales and Professional Services.
- Solve customer problems by promoting technology and acting as a trusted advisor.
- Coach, mentor, and provide career development guidance to your team.
- Identify and measure team health indicators.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Plan and manage project goals effectively.
- Contribute to team leadership and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Exceptional academic track record.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux, preferably Yocto.
- Proficient in Linux, with Debian or Ubuntu experience preferred.
- Fluency in at least one programming language: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience in managing a small team and engaging with customers.
- Professional written and spoken English is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
- Results-oriented with a commitment to meeting goals.
Desirable Traits:
- Experience with RTOS and knowledge of additional programming languages.
- Previous experience in a remote-first, diverse, distributed company.
