Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems, known for its platform, Ubuntu. Our customers include major tech companies and industry leaders. We are hiring an ISV Embedded Solutions Director to drive partnerships for licensing and embedding Ubuntu and Ubuntu Pro into software and SaaS solutions.
The successful candidate will collaborate with teams across Product, Alliances, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing to identify and pursue ISV accounts. This role entails building relationships with partners, motivating them to leverage our offerings, and ensuring customer success through the sales lifecycle. Key responsibilities include driving embedded support and licensing sales, negotiating contracts, and shaping messaging for ISV partners and customers.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional academic background with a technical undergraduate degree or strong alternative narrative.
- Proven ability to establish strategic relationships with large organizations.
- Passion for technology and significant experience within the software and SaaS industries, particularly with Linux (preferably Debian or Ubuntu), the open-source ecosystem, and cloud models.
- Experience in lead generation and business development within the software sector.
- Excellent communication skills in business English, both written and spoken.
- A commitment to diversity in a multicultural environment and willingness to travel internationally twice a year.
Language Requirements:
- Outstanding business English writing and presentation skills.
